Compiling Kernel and other source code
 

Hi, I need some help, I tried installing autoconf,automake,make,gcc,ldutils But I am still unable to compile programs using conectiva. What files do I need in order to compile source code in connectiva ive tried installing most of the development packasges.


The main thing i need to compile is ndiswrapper and kernel
but I also wanna become a developer.

what problems are you running into compiling software?

there are plenty kernel howto's around for a read

simple
Kernel devel

apt-get install task-kernel-compiling

to C development

apt-get install task-c-devel

C++

apt-get install task-c++-devel

GNOME devel

apt-get install task-gnome-devel

KDE hummm

apt-cache search task-kde

sorry i'm not use any package from KDE/Qt
