It's with great pleasure that I announce that today turns seven years old. As I've mentioned before, the site has grown well beyond what I ever expected. We've racked up almost 3,000,000 posts and 300,000 members in those seven years. I'd like to thank each and every one for participating, you are what make LQ what it is. I'd like to once again thank the LQ mods, who are 100% volunteer and spend a huge amount of personal time on LQ. A large part of this sites success can be directly attributed to the mods. They truly are fantastic. Visit to discuss LQ's birthday.

Would you like a free Ubuntu Live Conference Pass? As as a Media Sponsor I've just been informed that LQ is able to give away one full Ubuntu Live Conference pass absolutely free of charge. To be eligible please post in this thread ( ) saying how you are involved in the Ubuntu Community and why you'd like to attend. One winner will be randomly selected on June 19th. I do request that you only enter if you are certain that you are able to attend the conference. Good Luck.

Do you listen to the Podcast? If not, tune into to listen. You can automatically download the latest podcasts by adding the RSS Feed ( ) to your favorite podcatcher. A reminder that you can help spread the word and promote the LQ Podcast by voting for it at Digg ( ) and Podcast Alley ( ). If you have any suggestions on how the podcast can be improved, please let us know on the LQ Radio site.

Did you know you can save $3 off any domain name registration and help support Visit and use LQ3 as a discount code.
