LQ ISO, which has now facilitated almost 1,400,000 downloads, has received a couple minor upgrades. The "Most Popular" box on the homepage is now sorted by distribution instead of version, which should be a better indicator of popularity. The checksum feature has also been upgraded to automatically handle either an md5 or a shasum, based on which the official distribution mirror uses. Need to find a fast free Linux download mirror? Visit and choose from over 420 distribution versions available from over 510 mirrors. Don't forget to help spread the word - if someone asks you where the best place to download Linux is, mention LQ ISO.
In the last Community Bulletin I mentioned the LQ Podcast (which is available from ). We're back on track and are now posting a new Podcast at least once a week. We're also planning future shows and interviews for LQ Radio. If you like the LQ Podcast, don't forget to head over to PodcastAlley and vote for us. The counter is reset at the beginning of every month. Visit to vote for the LQ Podcast.
With 2,585 articles, the LQ Wiki continues to progress toward our goal of 3,000 articles. Your help is still needed though. Visit and help us build the largest general Linux knowledgebase on the web. You can help contribute, regardless of the level of your Linux expertise. Any member can edit any page, so the end result is a collective of all
knowledge. All content is licensed under either a Creative Commons license or the GFDL.
