We're proud to announce that LQ ISO has now facilitated over 1,000,000 Linux downloads. Founded in August of 2004, LQ ISO allows users to find and rate fast local download mirrors. The site currently allows you to download almost 120 different Linux distributions from over 430 different mirrors. The site now utilizes GEO IP data to help you find the fastest local download mirror. Visit http://iso.linuxquestions.org/ to download your favorite Linux distribution. If you don't see a distro listed, click the "Suggest Additions" link and let us know. Help us spread the word about LQ ISO - If you know anyone looking to download Linux, let them know about LQ ISO.
As of August 17th, 2005 the LQ Wiki allows you to use either the CC by-sa license or the GFDL. All articles in the main namespace are licensed under the CC by-sa license (which is how is has been from the beginning). All GFDL content must go in the GFDL namespace. Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/t354204.html for more information. Also, the drive to 3,000 LQ Wiki articles continues. We're almost to 2,500 now. Visit http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/ to help us build the largest general Linux knowledgebase on the web. If you'd like to contribute, but aren't sure what to write about, visit http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/index...al:Wantedpages for a list of pages that people would like written.
We recently interviewed Doc Searls for LQ Radio. We discuss a variety of topics including recent OSCON and LinuxWorld trips, Cluetrain, Google, splogs, RSS, Linux Trademarks and more. Visit http://radio.linuxquestions.org/2005...oc-searls.html to listen to the interview. Are you subscribed to the LinuxQuestions.org Podcast and to the LQ Radio series? Adding http://radio.linuxquestions.org/syndicate/lq.php to your favorite podcatcher will get you all LQ audio content. Do you use iTunes? Click itms://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=73330686 to add the LQ Podcast and itms://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=73801289 to add the LQ Radio Shows and Interviews. Just a reminder that answering threads with 0 replies is a great way to not only help your fellow LQ members, but help LQ itself. Visit http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...n=norepliesall and see if you can answer a thread that currently has no replies. Thanks.
