NetworkManager does nothing on my centos7 virtual machine

hi guys,

if i sudo NetworkManager after putting in my password i just get a command prompt

systemctl status NetworkManager shows the service is active and running

shouldnt network manager launch a gui that then saves settings to a file in sysconfig?

The NetworkManager "GUI" is typically an applet that runs in the system tray and depends on the desktop which I would assume is Gnome in your case?

The command line is nmcli or an ncurses version nmtui which may incomplete.
