Which mail server you have configured? It is quite unlikely that mail server setup affected yum functioning. What I am suggesting is to download curl RPM from CentOS website for CentOS 7 and then update it using rpm -Uvh <curl package name>

just REMOVE the "addon" section that you added
Quote:
#[addons]
name=CentOS-$releasever - Addons
mirrorlist=http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=$releasever&arch=
$basearch&repo=addons
baseurl=http://mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever/addons/$basearch/
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-7
priority=1
that bit of code that you manually added to the repo file is CAUSING YOUR PROBLEMS

-- there IS NO "ADDON" section in the cent repos
