CenTOS 7 dual boot with windows
I have installed centos7 in my laptop but after installing i cannot boot into my windows OS .
Even there is no grub entry for it but my windows partitions are intake . |
If you are certain your Windows partitions are intact try running grub-mkconfig

@Zyglow
I do have my grub.conf without any grub entries for Windows system only CentOS7 path entries . grub-mkconfig won't be of much help . I will post the contents of grub.conf to have a look . |
Assuming the widows partition(s) is still intact running grub-mkconfig after an installation is complete should find both operating systems. You might have to change the default if you want to automatically boot to windows.

you have to make sure you have a package called "os-prober" then run grub-mkconfig. Without os-prober, grub-mkconfig will not search for other operating systems. I would have thought it would be included by default as it is with Fedora, and grub-mkconfig would be part of the install script, but then again, I really should stop comparing Red Hat (Cent OS) to Fedoral.
