I'm having a problem trying to upgrade or install any other package on my server with yum update command, which is me returning: XZ compression not available
Zero experience with CentOS so maybe some ignorance here is showing, but the first thing I'd try here would be install the XZ utils, and if something was wrong with the installer, then I'd install those utils by source compilation.
Is XZ a command at all on your box? That would mean that the XZ tools are either not installed, or not fully/properly installed, and so I'd rectify that first.
