How can I update 9.6 to 9.7?

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hello calculate-friends.

I am a German user of calculate since Version 9.6 Desktop,
and I am very happy to use it.

But now I want to update from 9.6 to 9.7.
The Documentation descdribes a way to do this,
but I cannot see any updates - KDE 4.2.3 to 4.2.4.

Is it right to use emerge for updating KDE?
If it is right, I see packages masked.

Who can explain the correct way to update it?

'emerge' ... you should follow your package manager.

Maybe the updates are in testing repositories

Hi Manfred!
At the Calculate Linux we offer the easy and effective update plan. To do it you need free partition 10 Gb value. The way for disk partition has described here: http://www.calculate-linux.org/Partition_disk
For updating you only need to copy ISO image of 9.7 version to the directory /usr/calculate/share/linux/ and run `calculate`. As a result, the system will install into the another partition and all settings (users accounts, mounting points of fstab, network settings, sound and ets.) will be moved. Grub will be configure for old and new systems. All installation takes less then 10 minutes, but at the same time you can work. Also, the Calculate will be updated till 1.1.0. version. The updating plan you can find here http://www.calculate-linux.org/Move_on_Calculate_1.1
Good luck!
