Purpose

Calculate Directory Server is the free operating system, based on Gentoo, which represented by itself the LDAP-server for centralized storage of the settings applications, user accounts and access licences in the single network storage.

To configure and administer the server using the package Calculate-server.

Ability:

1. The user authorization with the storage of the setting seance on the server are centralized.
2. Comfortable administration through the UNIX-like commands.
3. The support of storage for Samba, Mail, ftp, jabber and proxy services accounts in the LDAP.
4. The supports of replication for mail and samba servers.
5. The centralized update of servers and working station.
6. Creation of reserve copies for accounts with applications settings and rebuilding from them.
7. The ability to work from livecd with full booting in the memory.
8. The support of following langueges: English, Spain, German, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish and French.
9. The support of installation on HDD and USB-HDD with file-system: ext4, ext3, ext2, reiserfs, xfs and jfs.

Main changes

1. All additinal packages are collected from the ebuild files Calculate Overlay. Thus Calculate Directory Server is 100% compatible with Gentoo.
2. Support of Italian and Polish languages has been added.
3. Support of the Proxy service with user authorization in LDAP has been added. So, the user group determines the range of avalible ports.
4. Support of Samba group setting in the LDAP server has been added.
5. Support of setting for some Jabber service hosts has been added.
6. Isolinux has used for booting from the DVD.
7. When you boot from CD you can choice the keyboards layout now.
8. Support of booting from CD into the memory with the taking it off has been added.
9. Unmask of unstable programm version has been made in accordance with the last available system version at the assembling time.
10. The compatibility during the boot from USB DVD has been improved.

Updating

For updating the previous version of Calculate Directory Server you should update the installer Calculate till 1.1 version and after that you will be able to set the system from 7z archive.
