FreeBSD 7.0-release dilema.

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Ok, so, after a month of delays, I got an old PC to test out BSD on. Unwittingly, I got a 7.0-release cd from my archives, and installed that, later to find out that, I can't install anything with pkg_add!!! There aren't anymore 7.0-release archives in the FreeBSD FTP server, so, I need help. How can I change where FreeBSD gets its information from the FTP servers? e.g ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/re...86/7.0-release -to- ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/re...386/7.0-stable ?

ask mr. google: http://www.google.ro/search?hl=ro&q=...meta=&aq=f&oq= (first link)

or a direct link: http://code.reddit.com/wiki/RedditStartToFinishFreeBSD

or a realy-realy-realy direct link :P : http://code.reddit.com/wiki/RedditSt...reDependencies

google first, ask later

Hope this does the trick for you

Let's make sure we've diagnosed the problem first.
