Clock gadget?

Is there a gadget in the repos that shows a clock face? Don't care if it's analog or digital, I'd just like to have a big clock on my desktop. The default clock is way too small.

Go take a look at http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/10/d...h-cairo-clock/. You can install it from the Ubuntu library. There are other implementations -- check SourceForge. You'll need the Cairo library installed (it may already be there -- use locate cairo in a terminal).

Hope this helps some.

The Cairo Clock has TONS of dependencies, so I'll skip it. Seriously, why does Ubuntu have so many stupid dependencies in their repos?

Something I'm looking for shows up great in this review of Bodhi. http://lnx.web-burning.it/2011/02/04...htened-ubuntu/

Damn if I can figure out how to get that clock though.

Maybe you might want to try xclock? You can play with size, color, all kinds of stuff with that and it should be installed by default on your box. The man page has lots of "fun" things to play with...

Hope this helps some.

I know you others are just trying to help - but by not knowing your way around E you are just complicating things.

Go into your modules Dan and load the clock module, then go to the gadets menu and add it to your desktop - this is built into your install of E, no extra packages needed :)
