Gentoo on the Thinkpad x61s

To immediately start putting my money where my mouth is, Gentoo will be put on my Thinkpad x61s (currently running Windows Vista Business 64-bit). I tried it before with some luck, but not a lot, as wireless and sound worked, but emerge crapped out after one too many builds. So in order to prevent this...


[EDIT: before I forget again, to facilitate .mkv: add matroska to USE flags when emerging media players; not needed for mplayer, has it by default; xine doesn't have matroska flag but apparently plays it fine nonetheless]
