The importance of searching LQ before asking more questions

Posted 01-04-2009 at 07:37 PM by xri

I think it's been stated a millions times, but these days it's becoming even more true.
This site and others are becoming so complete an thourough that most likely usual Linux questions have been answered in different degrees of detail. All you have to do is choosing the depth that will suit your current needs and time availability.
I visit this site very regularly but most of the time my answers are there. I don't have to add my question to the stack.
Of course posting to help others is a different matter. But even in that area, the number and quality of experienced (compared to me) Linux users is quickly increasing. I'm grateful to all these people for helping build something as brilliant as Linux.
