Wifi dongle moduals Many are broken

Posted 08-15-2006 at 05:10 AM by WOTHed

This is my first blog i have know idea where its going (url) but here goes.

All I have to say on the matter is you really want to buy a usb wifi dongle that you have seen working out of the box.

The dongles i have seen that state "linux suport" have genuinely got driver source files avalible but they seldom work out of the box, even when your distro has them bundled they often haven't been compiled right and you need to comiple them again (well with ubuntu anyway).

Im shure there are dongles that work though I have had much sucess with other usb devices on ubuntu and fedora Just make sure you buy one youk know works out of the box with a distro you like.
