A new category on my blog: WWWall of shame.
Dedicate to abuse of useless and stupid 'www' prefix.
Planning to update this category when I'll have something worthing of rememberance.

I was just typing some random URLs and got to this domain in my browser: linux.org.
It's so hardcore it won't allow me to use URL without www, telling me I'm using wrong address, www should be used, '.' is an old site. It would be better if that at least redirected me to www. domain, but, no, it's some really hardcore case. Probably, admins don't know about HTTP redirect status codes. Well, I told that to them 2 days ago, no reaction still.
I suggested admins to use www for their MX as well and change URL to www.www.linux.org (extra-www.org).

Conclusion: if you are a web developer, site administrator, or someone, associated with sites hosting, please read No-WWW.org and try to reach class 'C' there. Or, at least, class 'B'.
Russian page on same topic(not updated, not maintained): NoWWW.ru.
No-WWW.org rules the internet.
