In response to SF.net lockdown for "enemies"

Posted 01-28-2010 at 04:58 AM by Web31337 (In The Middle Of Nowhere [edK's blog])

SF referred to US law, since this was made to follow it. But the way I see it is quite different.

What they actually did is made problems to legal users from these countries. And the ones that should (probably) be blocked will bypass it just by using proxy.

The moment you feel proud for your technics: my UPS

Posted 01-23-2010 at 11:36 PM by Web31337 (In The Middle Of Nowhere [edK's blog])

I was silently playing HL ( can't I? ) and listening to music, and then WHOOPS... i thought at least the link won't go down but seems like one of critical routers was in this area. Usually we have a power offs less than 1 time per month, with a length of a few seconds or minutes. And usually link stays up since our ISPs router...

I blogged this note, to link to it, so I won't have to write the same things everytime.
If you were linked here, probably you failed to remember the actual meaning of word "hacker" (due to reading newspapers or watching news where stupids telling you a legends of script kiddies as of a legendary warriors) and you used it in a wrong context on LinuxQuestions.Org forums.

So here's your chance to fix that broken file on your heardrive.

Hacker will never...

Domains: Don't buy if you don't use!

I am always wondering why buy all good domain names and keep them for yourself or move them onto parkings. Say, i bought 31337.org can i think someone will buy it? No.
If I bought windows-support.com, can i think someone will buy it? Yeah, probably.
I was trying to find a good domain name in our .ru zone but... no I have not failed, I've just found 10000 domains that aren't available(re Thomas Edison). Man... why buy domains like rm.ru and don't use them?
Even tried most of...
