So I un-hooked and put aside my secondary compy for now. Two monitors were starting to bend my desk. I've also hired the company my sister works for to develop a website for me - focused on distributing musinc licenced under the Creative Commons. It should be up in a month or so.
I finally got around to installing my printer today. It was a lot easier than I expected (Epson Stylus C62 with CUPS)

None of the candidates deserve to win.
