can't beat 'em, won't join 'em

I've never kept a blog(*) before. I've never needed to. I need to keep a blog now no more than I ever did. So, I'll probably post once or a couple times, then promptly forget I ever had(*) a blog. People that run(*) their own blogs assume that they have stuff to say that others will be interested in reading. I am under no such delusions. Hence, this blog is a complete waste of time. If you're reading this, you're wasting your time. There are no kernels of knowledge here, no pearls of wisdom. All you'll find here is useless drivel.

(*) I have no idea which verb is appropriate for blogs. Does one "have", "keep", or does one "run" a blog? Hmm... web log... nope, no clues there.
