My story starts in 2003 when I was taking an A+ certification training course my high school offered. One day a friend of mine/classmate brought in several CDs and said they had an operating system called Linux on them. VirtulBox in My Experience

Finally, my openSUSE 11.2 can run virtualbox well. For some reason it just happened after I uninstall Xen from my system. VirtualBox can walk away without any additional configuration (other than adding my user account on the user group virtualbox .. ahaha.. )

With 500 GB hard drive, I started using virtualbox. Generally, a system that I do is for the server. I practice what has been gained from the classes I attended.

Upgrading from openSUSE11.1 to openSUSE11.2

I'm starting my first (significant) post on this blog, reporting my experience on openSUSE upgrade, from 11.1 to 11.2.
I started from this useful post:

that basically shows how to do this task by using the command line tool "zypper".

I made some variation to this procedure: I did not want to burn a DVD and I did not want to perform a network install.

A shocking experience I made after the recent php5 security upgrade of my opensuse. The clean solution required some intense googling and php.ini studies. Finally the system works again.
