New PC:-
Blank HDD - the shop actually used FreeDos to test the HDD
& gave a leaflet on how to Erase that & install W7.

But- that didn't happen

so into the DvD drive went a Puppy4 cd & thus create four new partitions & erase the FreeDos

and then:- the Mepis11 onto sda3 & /home on sda6
followed by Mint10 onto sda1 & /home onto sda6
with sda4 in reserve, for future use.

works well ...

As an IT professional you often run into mind boggling problems, just weird stuff which can throw you for a loop and leaving you scratching your head for days. Ask anybody who does it for a living and there will be at least one memorable horror story withing the last few months. Well I am no exception , however what I did with the erroneous hard drives was exceptionally fun ! I just found these pics laying around on an old external and figured I would share.

One of my few vices happens...
