I realize that some people here are a bit tired of me being the nihilistic fatalist all the time when talking about matters of religion and/or philosophy, but this is just a little klutzy piece of "poetry" I threw together that might shed some light on the whole "free will" issue (for me, at least

I don't understand how one can essentially devote their life to proving that effectively, no one has any real "control" over their lives. It's sickening, to say the least.

(Yes, I know that's a horrible exaggeration, but try to understand where...

I've decided that I'm going to either a) take a break from LQ for a while (and I really mean it this time), or b) try to actually contribute more useful content to the forums (I've been spending way too much time in /General lately

).

I figure that if I'm going to be posting anything about religion/faith, existentialism, philosophy, or whatever other topics that I find "sensitive", it'll be either here (in this blog) or just not at all.

When one feels like a helpless pawn of the universe, what does one do?

Do they simply live life in ignorance of their pain, only letting it silently build up in the background?

Do they end their life, hoping that there is some higher, more meaningful existence "beyond the grave"?

Do they bitterly accept it, and live their lives as they feel they should, i.e. that they really aren't special, and that they really aren't "them", they're...
