Assuming that flash and java are working. I would try a couple of things:

    1) Try 'spoofing' the user agent (which is basically a way of telling the website, hey i'm using IE --- even if you actually arent). A few (lazily designed) websites will work only with Internet Explorer browsers either by a piece of code that says 'If user is using IE, continue -- if not, quit', or use ActiveX/Silverlight/.NET which does not run on linux browsers right away. Check out this addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...gent-switcher/

    2) Install Internet Explorer on linux. This can be accomplished by installing PlayOnLinux and then using that program to install IE.

You shouldn't post requests for help on your blog; that's what the forums are for.

If you turned off cookies, you will get strange effects. Some webpages will not remind you of this and will just return you to the login screen.

+1 Nylex. And people shouldn't *answer* questions posted on the blogs. Really, that just encourages it.

One post in April of 2010, one post in October 2011, and one blog post about the same topic as 2011. I don't think answering in the blog is doing that much harm. They want their answer to disappear for another year. Figured I might as well be helpful.
