With the CDMA card and a cheap modem, I started surfing to the world. Modem goes well, good signal, speeds surfing adequate. What a relief this heart of it. :)

Finally, my openSUSE 11.2 can run virtualbox well. For some reason it just happened after I uninstall Xen from my system. VirtualBox can walk away without any additional configuration (other than adding my user account on the user group virtualbox .. ahaha.. :newbie:)

With 500 GB hard drive, I started using virtualbox. Generally, a system that I do is for the server. I practice what has been gained from the classes I attended.

It was very helpful, which I do not need to pay more to build a complete server with clients. Only with this small software, but brings great benefit to me.

It occurred to me, to try to build a system from scratch. Manually. Imagine how people used to install a PC operating system from scratch. Looks like fun.

Welcome all

Here, I'll tell you my experiences using openSUSE 11.2. Which is a distro that is most comfortable for me personally. Although Slackware is better in my opinion, in order to learn, not as a daily usage. But, for some reason, since from the beginning, I felt more comfortable using openSUSE from other distributions.

When the installation is not found any problems, I chose to use the KDE4 desktop manager. With some types of office applications, networks, virtualization, and image processing.

But there's an unfortunate thing. When running a virtual box, applications will not run at all. Error message occurs. With Xen, also the same. So I could not use virtualization on my machine. This is particularly regrettable considering my Computer Networking class lecture in which virtualization is needed for my learning  .

But overall, I find it very comfortable to use openSUSE. :D
