GRUB killed by bad update

Posted 08-01-2008 at 02:00 PM by safulop

It will happen to you eventually, if you run a dual-boot linux system.

One day, you will allow an automatic kernel update, which will update the GRUB boot loader configuration to accommodate the new kernel. Then, the next time you boot your machine, GRUB will hang. Something went wrong with the update to the GRUB configuration, and you are screwed!

Get yourself out of this fix before it happens---download and burn a Super Grub Disk from http://www.supergrubdisk.org/...
