Microsoft's Bing runs on Linux?

Today, I happened upon a couple of comments that implied that Microsoft's Bing search engine actually ran on Linux... The fact of the matter is, it probably doesn't but...

Microsoft have certainly outsourced their cdn function to Akamai who, it would seem, certainly do use Linux and are a major content delivery network provider for a lot of very large companies. So although Bing doesn't actually run on Linux, it clearly relies on it heavily. An interesting state of affairs that could be as embarrasing as the revelation that Hotmail used to run on BSD servers...

    of course they use linux for some amount of servers, but i believe they also have some custom windows kernel without gui for their servers. who knows for sure, anyways
