Internet health tax?

Posted 03-03-2010 at 03:26 PM by rich_c

Somewhat related to my previous post, I was reading this with interest. I saw a comment on the same story that pretty much likened Microsoft Windows users to smokers. They risk their own health and by 'passive smoking' (i.e. the unfiltered garbage they spew out.) the health of others. So, to continue with that analogy, any tax should be on the sale of Microsoft products which should also come with a 'health' warning. That way, the majority of the people causing the problem bear the brunt of the cost of the resulting damage in the same way tax on cigarettes presumably goes toward funding the NHS in the UK.
