nearly ready to make the leap to linux, i want to to go 1) linux, 2) 64 bit and 3) dual core..., sound slike 3 steps, everywhere i look the coverdisks seem to be 32 bit only :( , feels like 3 big steps, maybe i will wait just a tad more till the next amd x 2 price drop then go for it, have 2 windows systems, am happy enuf with them , dont want to pay more for yet another version of windows and associated support programs, office , norton firewall antivirus etc.. i run some distributed computing programs, i did one of them on a spare disk on linux as a test so was very happy about that, i was impressed by a knoppix live disk so that was cool and then did a temporay install on a spare disk and now that i know it all works nicely am just about to make the leap -- when the price is right, open office 2 out prob good from what i hear, etc etc
