sound with Enemy-Territory

Posted 04-09-2006 at 06:20 PM by qizzer

I use alsa sound which doesn't seem to play well with ET game. The fix for this seems to be: as root: echo "et.x86 0 0 direct" > /proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/oss
This fix goes away everytime I upgrade my kernel so I make sure to have it in my notes.

Then it proceed to consume all available memory and about 80% of swap memory when I tried to do a simple search. Needless to say this came close to hanging Linux (was...

Posted 04-08-2006 at 06:04 PM by bulliver

In the spirit of the 99 bottles of beer and hello world page, I have started a page on my site to collect the Sieve of Eratosthenes algorithm written in as many languages as possible. Compile Linux Fedora Core 4

Posted 04-07-2006 at 10:53 PM by ahmedken

Please note that i am new for linux. I want to implement time based access-lists using iptables. This requires installing patch-o-matic in the kernel then complining the kernel. I installed the patch-o-matic, but the problem when i compiled the kernel i got many errors. Can you provide A-Z steps on how to compile the kernel without getting errors.
