Virtual Network Interfaces problem

Hi All...
I have some problem regarding virtual network interfaces.The case is I have two machines each with two links with IP, on one m/c and , on second m/c.I configured theses links by cammand ifconfig eth0:1
Now I have my program such that is receiving packet from and and similarly for if I make link down by ifconfig eth0:2 down ,it is still receiving packet from but not...

knoppix usb-keybord isseu

Hi, every time i try to start using knoppix live cd i seem to have no contol of my usb keyboard on my dell dimension 5150. The mouse works fine but i have no control of either my keyboard or any other usb device i try to connect to it (my pc has only usb ports, no ps2 ports)
if you guys could tell how to fix this i would really be greatefull

Install linux es-4 on sata disk

I have an IBM machine with sata disk When i try to install linux Es-4 An error is occure that hard drive not found.

Amazing what difference the software can make for the hardware I've got!

My Dell has a problem: I have to use the second IDE port to connect my HDD or CD-device. Result is that I can't use a second HDD or CD-player. My cd writer is an old MATSHITA ST... I was wondering, why M$ dominates and why Linux people can't beat this corporation. It's strange but GNU/Linux has more advantages and more of that it's free! I saw a TV programme saying something about software piracy and other things, but one of M$ employees told everybody an interesting fact. She said that M$ gave 30 000 copies of their OS to some charity organizations. The numbers doesn't matter, it's not as big number in country like Poland, but the most interesting was the word GAVE. All right...
