USB Pen Drive

Posted 10-06-2008 at 12:45 AM by jenudsouza

There are few products that are as easy to use as the USB pen drives. They simply connect to the USB port of a Windows PC or Apple Mac and can be used to backup data’s, you can save photos, or just move your data’s from one computer to...

Eee Box B202

Posted 10-05-2008 at 06:36 AM by Caysho
Updated 12-25-2008 at 06:04 AM by Caysho

I've got an Eee Box B202 now, using it for my main desktop with Ubuntu 8.04.1.
It runs well, though sometimes a tad slow - Firefox does occasionally get sluggish.
Ubuntu installed directly from an external DVD drive via USB without hassle, with a monitor connected via DVI.

There are two display problems:
Bug 233787
Bug 268529

I have the box mounted behind the monitor with the supplied VESA mount, and it's nice and tidy.

KVM also requires a modified QEMU although work is underway to get the required changes upstream.

Updated 11-22-2009 at 06:09 PM by trevorparsons (Flagged solution as out of date and fixed link.)

[Warning -- this solution is now well out of date!]

For ages Flash has failed to work properly for me when embedded in Konqueror on my Arch Linux system. It would start to load, look as if it was buffering, but not play, and meanwhile that tab or instance of Konqueror would be eating CPU.

Today I found a fix, as detailed by Mike Arthur.

Install kmplayer. I'm currently running kdemod3, and I had to install kdemod3-kmplayer from AUR, which I accomplished by running...
