Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

Reason for update:
Frequent Firefox crashes with embedded flash content even though system was up to date with patches, and Adobe (ex Macromedia) Flash plugin was latest version. Decided this must be a lib conflict.
Followed the instructions on found in Slack12.0 DVD/upgrade.txt. Uneventful except I was not upgrading from Slack 11.0 as instructions...
I am wondering how I would go about setting up a wireless network for my Linux (Fedora 7) off a Linksys. I have went through networking, however I am not sure what are the next steps are. If anyone can help me please let me know.
1st, thank you to Jeremy & all the Mods, they make this an orderly & productive place to hang out.
Background note: My main way of interacting w/ LQ is through my subscription to the daily "0-reply threads" e-mail. Therefore, my problems arise when I click on an entry in that e-mail & find a closed thread which has no references to its continuation, or, worse, gives the "Invalid Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"...
