Upgrading Ubuntu 9.10 to Ubuntu Studio

Recently I have found myself doing more recording and other multimedia related stuff. Even though I have long ago implemented disaster recovery and do more backups than you can shake a stick at, I still did not feel like reinstalling.
Luckily you can easily install individual aspects of Ubuntu studio ie all the audio apps.

restore point

my computer crashed & i made a mistake & deleted a bunch of stuff now its not running right how do i restore my computer to an earlier connection point that was good.

The moment you feel proud for your technics: my UPS

Currently it's 09:30 AM here(while i write this).
At 3 AM tonight we had a power off. In a large area in center of a city. My router uptime was saved by my UPS =)
I was silently playing HL ( can't I? ) and listening to music, and then WHOOPS... i thought at least the link won't go down but seems like one of critical routers was in this area. Usually we have a power offs less than 1 time per month, with a length of a few seconds or minutes. And usually link stays up since our ISPs router...

I blogged this note, to link to it, so I won't have to write the same things everytime.
If you were linked here, probably you failed to remember the actual meaning of word "hacker" (due to reading newspapers or watching news where stupids telling you a legends of script kiddies as of a legendary warriors) and you used it in a wrong context on LinuxQuestions.Org forums.
