Ubunty and Xmms and Audacity

Hello All

i am facing specific prob. with Ubuntu 7.04.
I had installed xmms and audacity.
they are running.
but i am not able to read any menu, as there is not fonts displaying in any menu.
can anybody help me for the same?

Any help will be appriciated.

kernel patching

So the concept of patching the kernel to update to the next release is something I haven't delved into too much before. I've had previous experiences of trying to use the patch command that didn't go over too well. The syntax of the patch command is something that is simple when understood. Quake II is FINALLY Working!

I have had difficulty getting id Software games working on Linux (Though this is the Softwares, not Linux's fault). The first id game I got working was Quake III Arena, which worked perfectly except for the Fact OSS did not work. Then I tried getting Doom 3 and Quake 4, then I found out that I need the ATI fglrx Driver, but my Video Card is to old. RTCW did not work on Fedora Core 4, but on Fedora 7 it runs fine.
