My Journey from MS to Linux

Posted 08-02-2008 at 06:04 PM by bhupendra

I have flirted with various flavours of Linux from the days of Red Hat 4.0 and SuSe 8.0. In the intervening period I have managed to acquire a degree in Computing and IT from Open University, UK. I do not work in IT, and at 58 it is perhaps a little late for finding a job in IT. During the past year, I have familiarized myself with Ubuntu, Fedora, SuSe and Mandriva. I have finally settled on Fedora 9.0 and Ubuntu Hardy. Thanks to LinuxQuestions.org, I hope to describe my trials and tribulations...

Here is a good place to post my Linux experiences. A good venue for my rants and outbursts.

Too busy to hang out here and help people

Posted 08-02-2008 at 02:20 PM by Worksman

I remember how this used to be the place where I first started asking question when I started learning Linux. It's the place that got me started. Thank you LQ for just being. :D You were great back then and you still are! Great community!

But sadly I'm too busy now to hang out anymore... maybe after things settle down, if ever...
