Kubuntu Blues

Decided after many years of being an Atari user that I should have access to an alternative to WindoZe so, scouted about and found Ubuntu (or Kubuntu)
I have had a working installation in the past with an Asus crosshair board but that board only had one out of two LAN ports working and no amount of replacements (Kudos to Kustom PC's for this) was to resolve the issue so...I moved on up to an ASUS MV32 something something (Kudos to Kustom PC's of Ayr again) and re installed Kubuntu Hardy Heron....

DELL DIMENSION 8400 / WINDOWS XP/ FIREFOX IS DEFAULT. CRASHES,GET ERROR MSG-"PFN_LIST_CORRUPT" ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS? ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.-THX
