how to install *.sh file on CentOS?

Would anyone know, I am sure someone does, how to install *.sh file on CentOS?
I downloaded the netbeans 6.5 file but now I am not sure how to install it. Thanks, george

A script to extract RPMs

Since my blog is a guide to random things... here is a nice bash script to extract RPMs to a directory named after them self where the RPM can be located anywhere... that is, relative to the current directory or exact path

The GNU/Linux name controversy

About 23 years after the beginning of time (that would be like 1993), since GNU and Linux were put together as a Free OS, there's been a controversy about the way to call this (dysfunctional) couple.

On the red corner we have RMS, the FSF and others asking people to include "GNU" as part of the name when you are referring to a system that is working with Linux as the kernel and GNU on top of it to make it a "user usable" (weird, right?) system. One problem of this...
