clive is an open source command line tool to extract videos and to bypass the need to use Adobe Flash in order to view user-generated content available on video-sharing websites. Clive supports Youtube, GoogleVideo, Dailymotion, metacafe, Guba, Sevenload, Myvideo. More with Gambas...

Time for an update. I have been doing more experimentation with probability Gambas code. It is amazing how useful probability can be, with a little work you can make a functional artificial intelligence with just a random number generator. My code has been taking on some interesting forms, but I dont feel at liberty to tell what yet.

Free Empires has been getting some more attention recently from Me and Graham. We have been messing around with sprite drawing, having fun texturing....

Maximum Transmission Unit(MTU), the largest physical packet size, measured in bytes, that a network can transmit. Any messages larger than the MTU are divided into smaller packets before being sent.By optimizing the MTU setting you can gain substantial network performance increases, especially when using dial-up modem connections.

What to do with a slow Windows PC

Recently on a forum, a person said they were given an old PC running Windows and it was getting very slow. If you are in that position, read on.

If you have an old Windows XP PC, there is probably a lot of defragmentation on the hard drive, and lots of files from software that was installed and then uninstalled as well.
