Why Linux rocks

Posted 12-20-2008 at 06:25 AM by serafean

Eyecandy, some might claim it useless; I say sure it is, but it sure is nice... Take an old PC : Athlon 1gHz, 320MB RAM, and a Radeon 9200SE, try running windows with eyecandy on it (Vista? no way; XP possible but quickly bloated). Now I take Linux, install compiz-fusion and fire away those nice effects... PC still as responsive as ever, GNOME still as nice (even nicer) and an overall wobbly experience.

From slackware's end here is a list of required dependencies.
Code:
- libgsf-gnome

Disclaimer:
1. I'm not very good with words. Sometimes I can see something very clearly in my head,
but it's hard for me to express it in words. I hope that I'll be clear enough to make it understandable.
2. All of the bellow is my own opinion and shouldn't be considered anything else.

There is a lot of functionality duplication in Linux Distributions.
I don't mean that there are too many applications that do the same tasks, this is actually good (choice...

To start, NAT is by far the easiest way to get your guests connected to the interweb, but you may want to use the guests as servers. For this you need Host Networking. To configure Host Networking you need to configure network bridging, you basically
