Facing Problem in Installing VLC Player in Fedora.

Hi,

I am facing problem while installing VLC. Really i spend lot of time while installing VLC.

I dont have internet connection. i downloaded repository file from vlc.org. and downloaded vlc-0.9.0.tar.bz2 from one site

i use these commands to install.

rpm -ivh livna-release-9.rpm

#> yum install vlc

But i cant able to install. it is connecting to net if i am using Yum.

Pls resolve my problem....

Query about Latex

i am interesting to use the latex on fedora 8. but after compilation of latex, can not open file DVI. So I want know, how can i open the DVI file on fedora 8.

I understand that Windows Server 2003 needs 512 meg to run properly. I am installing VMware ESX for the first time and to my understanding it will take back that memory that Windows does not use or need. What is the minimum that Linux needs to run on a server? Also, I am going to install VMware Infrastucture Client on my machine to install,monitor and configure Windows Server 2003 from my pc. I have created two storage blocks from an 800 gig hard drive.
