I had a support call yesterday that I'm filing under the catagory of "Helping a user work around the limitations of the software." Oops, breached the EULA there! A friend wanted to do a presentation at work but was unable to put the required file on a USB drive due to their being a site policy of no USB drives. Because of an IT security policy presumably, i.e. they donít want a nasty virus. So, my friend had to work around this limitation by burning a CD. Not a very common task for...

Lusus project underway

Lusus is a project I recently started working on. It is supposed to be set of games to help teach beginning Latin. I /just/ integrated in a very rough ClanLib GUI for one game. Improvements to the interface and attractiveness, plus more games, should be coming shortly.

Slackware64 ext4 grub installation trick/guide

Since 13.0, Slackware has an official x86_64 port. There is no grub package by default, and if you simply try to install it, you will get an error. A lot of users, including me, prefer grub over lilo.

It is not so much difficult to install grub on Slackware64, and I finally managed to do it. So it I thought it will be helpful for those who are new to Slackware64 and wants the old grub back. Hence the guide. Hope this will help you guys.
