How to Remove Pulse Audio Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid Ibex)

PulseAudio (formerly PolypAudio) is a cross-platform, networked sound server project. It is intended to be an improved
drop-in replacement for the Enlightened Sound Daemon (ESD).By default Ubuntu 8.10 comes with Pulse Audio and most users start complaining about pulse audio so if you don’t want to use Pulse Audio you can remove.

My wife has her own laptop. She uses that other operating system we all hear about! We have two desks side by side with a laptop each, and I also have a desktop computer, mainly because I use the two dvd drives a lot, plus I don't really like laptops, it's there to surf with.

We don't have wireless, I don't see the need, as we only use this room for the computers, there's no need to take them anywhere. As I said I use Linux and she uses that other ... What gets me is the fact that...

Hello folks,

I hope you have come closer to perfection. Never_the_less. Here goes.
I tried to keep some notes but it takes time to take a look at them. So partly,this is a winger(besides it
is my weekly happy hour). First, let me say , a vegitarian may be a poor hunter but probably he/she is
after a much different game. And also . I hope Semper Fi is short for : I will be faithful to the concepts
of Liberty and Justice.

Hardware update

Got my mouse scroll wheel working. Just uncomment the following line in /etc/X11/xorg.conf:

Option: "Protocol" "Auto"
As for the network card, it's still coming up dead on some bootups, but I discovered that it probably is a firmware issue. In my BIOS POST logs, there are regular occurrences of an NIC Failure. Will have to hunt around for firmware. It was suggested to me that power management might have something to do with it, but I didn't notice any...
