Google docs, love them or only kinda like them

Posted 09-25-2009 at 04:59 AM by jaymarting (The messy world of technology)

I remember the days when free online email was a novelty. The storage space was small and the features even smaller. But the I discovered that the benefits of gettin my email on any computer outweighted the costs of fewer features. And remember these were the days when Eudora ruled the consumer desktop email market.

But soon the features caught up and now in the last 5 years not only can I get my email on any computer or laptop out there I can also get it on my iPhone or blackberry....

Posted 09-24-2009 at 03:34 AM by vince4amy

For a long time after Debian Lenny came out I couldn't figure out at all how to install the ATi drivers, I always had one missing dependency or another, but now I know exactly what dependencies are required to use the ATi driver on Debian.

Download the ATi Driver
Log in as Root
Install Dependencies
aptitude install linux-kernel-headers-amd64

The default is specified in /etc/inittab like this:
You can change that 5 to 3 (after you've booted) so that subsequent boots while you're testing
