Syslog-ng configuration and setup

Dear Friends,

I have installed syslog-ng in my rhel5 server. I need to configure for more number of routers and switches and filtering the logs in concern router logs in concern folder, how can i do this ... please kind do needful.

Trying downloading Edubuntu

I just want to compare about Opensuse Edulife and Edubuntu. I have installed Opensuse Edulife. But, I have never installed Edubuntu. Now, I am downloading Edubuntu. I hope, there is no problem when downloading Edubuntu.

Two computers, one old acoustic system, no digital input: what to do?

The short answer could have been "utilize analog and digital inputs" but my case here is quite old system having only one input.
I didn't really look into this question until I had to, today.
Some days before, when I was experiencing troubles with sound in Steam I installed pulseaudio and during search for it noticed "network" word in description. So I thought maybe I can set it up so I will send sound from second computer to first(over gigabit home LAN), which...

backups using rsync

The beauty of using rsync as a backup tool is that the backup is in a plain old directory structure, so there is a lot less to go wrong in a recovery process (and many ways to do the recovery).

The simplest rsync just makes a mirror of a directory structure:

rsync -a --del src dst
Or across a network using ssh:

rsync -a --del src server:dst -e ssh
The link-dest flag can be used to set up a simple snapshot...
