Being human

I am a man.
I will die one day.
My place in this universe is insignificant and infinitesimally minute.
My time here is less than a moment.
This universe will come to pass and all of its memories
are but shadows of the dreams of dust.
While I am here,
I shall enjoy myself
not at the expense of others
but as to make my life worth something.

Stupid little konsole trick

So I discovered a cool little trick with konsole. Using dcop, you can open new terminals as a new session (tab) in an existing konsole window and then send commands to said sessions (and even rename the sessions to match what commands you sent to it).

But, there's only one problem. I'm running...

So last year I posted a blog about why my wife should let me spend our rent money on an android dev phone. Well as it turned out I ended up waiting a few months for my sprint contract to be up and jumped ship to Tmobile. Android is simply the best thing since sliced bread, it has everything I could need and then some. That being said there are multiple reasons why I rooted it. For one you can run full distro's, I tried out Debian and it was awesome. There are other interesting things to do such...

Slackware: installing from HDD using CD .iso files

Posted 10-06-2009 at 06:26 AM by catkin

Hello

Here's a procedure to install Slackware 13.0 starting with the CD .iso files on a Linux system using GRUB. It is a modified form of the procedure for installing from a DVD .iso file given here.

It was developed and tested on an ubuntu 8.04 system following a pilot Slackware installation in a VirtualBox virtual machine but nothing in the procedure is specific to that environment.

A file system is populated with the files a) required for GRUB...
