The system is a remaster of Ubuntu 13.10 – codenamed Saucy Salamander, released on October 17, 2013. The original system includes the Desktop Environment Unity 7.1 (Ubuntu). I have added LXDE, Mate 1.6.0, Razor-qt 0.4.1 and XBMC 12.0 (An award-winning free and open source (GPL) software media player and entertainment hub for digital media) as alternatives, so that everyone on the spot (during live operation) can...

Things are still in a state of flux, but here's the bottom line. If you install linux mint 64 bit version and your effects are too slow, go to the command line and type:

apt search kdeactive
Install all of those and you'll think you're in a whizzing fast 32 bit KDE system again.
