Bought a beaglebone black.

And a bunch of LEDs, resistors, jumpers and a breadboard. Time for a little fun.

Installed OpenBSD-5.5 on the beaglebone (tried running CURRENT...ouch. Compiling on this thing hurts because the sd card is so incredibly slow...probably my fault, as I used a cheap class 4 micro sd...).

Wired up a simple circuit and started gpioctl'ing pins. Hrmmm. Nothing works. Perform OpenBSD-project problem remediation:

The system is a remaster of Ubuntu 14.04 – codenamed Trusty Tahr, released April 17, 2014. The original system includes the Desktop Environment Unity (Ubuntu). I have added LXDE,Razor-qt and XBMC (An award-winning free and open source (GPL) software media player and entertainment hub for digital media) as alternatives, so that everyone on the spot (during live operation) can compare the different four Desktop Environments. The system language is ENGLISH.

Possible bug with Debian's Konqueror/Dolphin/KDE and zip extraction, and how to fix

I noticed that there was no longer the "extract" context submenu for zip files after one of the last updates. Then I went to check the ".desktop" files on /usr/share/kde4, and noticed that they had an editing mistake in the mimetype line:

Code:
MimeType= ... application/x-lzma-compressed-tar;application/zipapplication/x-deb; ...
I guess it was probably something related with deb packages, which must have edited this line and "forgot" to add the...
