Connecting your computer to a stereo system

My computer has output jacks for only the TRS standard audio plug. My 20 year old amplifier only has input jacks for the RCA red and white plugs ( same as the the red and white of the red,white,yellow combo for televisions).

Without going to the shops and buying a new adapter cord or device, I reminded myself both rely on the exact same technology. Upon splitting the cords, this was confirmed.

Windows 7 'losing' your background.

Recently I had to use a Windows 7 box. After using vista before my first action of course was to change the aero theme back to the good old rectangles of classic.

Soon however I came across an annoyance. Fancy that, coming across an annoyance in Windows within minutes of using it. Insert more sarcastic remarks relating to rare cosmic events here.

I have a beautiful tiling image in PNG format as my background. It seems the people in the Microsoft testing department only...
