My passtimes ... a) cooking & entertaining

Posted 02-23-2010 at 11:08 AM by Tinkster

I love good food, and - naturally, I think? - love cooking.
Have a few dishes I'd call my signature dishes, and only a

There's a few cakes I quite enjoy making, and sharing with
people, usually taking them into work where they vanish
within 10 minutes to my great delight :}

One of my personal favourites is my Orange-Polenta-Rosemary
cake, the recipe for which I'll post here today; sorry...

Posted 02-20-2010 at 07:19 AM by Web31337 (In The Middle Of Nowhere [edK's blog])

Few days ago we had an accident with one of Russia's most popular bittorrent tracker site, torrents.ru. A domain was undelegated from DNS servers by request of our agencies.
While, in an official agreement, that accepted by both sides(registrar and registrant) when a new .ru domain is registered there is a note about "Registrator may not interact with conflicts a registrant may have with 3rd parties."

important directories in linux

Posted 02-20-2010 at 06:19 AM by raju.mopidevi

Different distributions have different directory structures, despite attempts at standardization such as the the Linux Filesystem Hierarchy Standard (FHS) organization.
Important directories

essential UNIX commands such as ls, etc. Should contain all binaries needed to boot the system or run it in single-user mode

/boot -
files used during booting and possibly the kernel itself are stored here

/dev -
contains device files for various devices on system

/etc...
