I need info how to append acpi=off to grub 2

Posted 03-11-2010 at 10:42 PM by LNBE

The only Ubuntu distro That would boot up on this Toshiba Satillite L505D-GS6000 is Ubuntu 9.10. I could not even boot the live CD without typing acpi=off after the word splash.

Got it installed it runs stable no problems. Yet when I reboot the comp I have to hit ESC to get to grub. Then E key, my arrows to the word spash and type acpi=off. Last CTRL X. It will boot up and seems to run fine.

So how the heck to I edit boot Grub two? Any help or links would be awesome...

Myself just returning from a week's spring break in Spain, I had similar ideas.

The cool thing about the idea is that you can preview it before you even create the video, by...

Wife Acceptance Factor (WAF).

Posted 03-11-2010 at 05:27 AM by dsmyth

The Wife Acceptance Factor, or Wife Approval Factor (WAF), is an estimation of the wife's acceptance or refusal of a new acquisition by the husband.

The Woman Acceptance Factor is inversely proportional to the possible amount of conflict resulting from the different points of view. The lower the WAF, the more convincing needs to be done, or the more conflicts arises from the acquisition or project.
