Security. (Again!)

I was browsing the BBC news site and found this story. Rather predictably, there's no mention of the system that presents the bad guys with the most vulnerabilities to exploit... (You know the one, from Redmond.) Also, googling the RSA Conference site results in jut 3 hits for 'Linux'. Interesting, as a lot of important organisations think Linux is pretty secure. (I'm thinking NSA/SELinux here...)

Another interesting and far less biased development I saw recently was this. Seems...

I was going to work this night but I guess I failed at this. One thought about watching movies and it took all nite long... Oh man...
Well, I was watching "Nausicań of the Valley of the Winds" (1984), I'd say it's one of my favourite movies. It's totally outstanding and amazing movie about Love as it is.
I respect people having that level of using imagination. Ones who create such masterpieces that show us Life as it is, meant to be understood by almost everyone. Right here,...

Migrating from WinXP to Ubuntu 9.10

Finally!...I'm spending most of my time working in the Ubuntu half of my computer (multiboot). I gave up wishing the GUI networking stuff would work, and mounted my docs from the server using the command line; then automounted by editing /etc/fstab I had heard about this in my Linux group, but got the details by searching on the Internet.

I also have changed, mostly, the applications I use to those I can use in Ubuntu 9.10. There are still a couple of newsletters I am doing in Windows...

Simple shell script to create playlists from file structure

Hi everybody!
In my first post on this blog I want to publish something simple but useful for guys who prefer to use applications like xine, mplayer or totem for playing music. It's a bash script, which creates playlists using the unix tool "find". Basic documentation can be found in the header of the script file.

I hope you find it useful and comfortable. Have fun with it!
